Lets face it, women hate football. Okay, i'll rephrase. MOST women hate football. Its some sort of a XX chromosome thing. We lack the football liking gene. Just the way guys dislike lets say, America's Next Top Model or Project Runway-you get the picture.

However, some women genuinely love football, they're interested and they know what's going, which i think its great. It's good if you have the interest and i have no qualms about that. I respect you.

BUT there is this one group of women which i would personally capture and bury alive. The World Cup Lovers who appear suddenly once in 4 years, cheering endlessly for a month or so and once the world cup is over, they mysteriously disappear for another 4 years. Yes you know who you are and it is true isn't it? Before the world cup starts you go on and on about how your brother, father, husband, boyfriend is constantly watching football and how boring it is because its just 22 men kicking a ball around for 90 minutes. You think it's stupid, you think it's as pointless as seaweed in the middle of a desert and people don't hear the end of it. So WHY is it that when it's the World Cup, you get all enthusiastic, wearing 'Oranje' shirts and painting your face with your 'favorite' team's colors?

Women conveniently start loving football once in 4 years, and what's the reason behind it? Christiano Ronaldo is hot. CLASSIC

Here I am again after a long time. Updates will be more frequent this time around I promise!

Well first things first, and first would be the perfect way to describe my results for the year. All first class honors baby! Believe me, I'm more surprised than anyone else, but hey I'll just accept that without any questions. It was a good year which I do not wish to relive. So the holidays have officially begun.

My trip to India was pretty good. It was short, only 2 weeks but it was more than enough to absorb the country in all its glory. I will miss the delicious coffee that is served the moment I wake up and all the different types of food and the LOVE, oh the love is endless. Contrary to popular belief, people there are actually really nice. Yes, surprise surprise! I'm not saying that EVERYONE is all sugar spice and everything nice, there are the unruly ones who appear to have no respect whatsoever for another human being. Either way, it was a good trip.

Then there's Bali. Oh my dear Bali you were so fantastic I wish those 4 fabulous days lasted forever. It was strange how besides the small number of local shopkeepers, the 4 of us (Siva, Yazna, Chern Yi and I) were the only Asians around. But the best part was that no one even noticed that we were different. Every single person on that island is so laid back its like they really have nothing on this planet to worry about. It seems like all they do is wake up in the morning, go to the beach, lay there and get a tan till the sun goes down, have dinner, go partying/drinking, go home and sleep. Actually that's what we did there minus the tanning part because you know *might get dark*. Heh.

We went surfing and ah, my wonderful surfboard story. So we were told to walk into the water holding the surfboard vertically beside us, which is actually what I did. But then came a really strong, huge wave which pushed me into the water and conveniently turned my board making it horizontal and right in front of my face. And what happens next? The board crashes into my throat and i lose my voice (literally) for a few seconds. It came back slowly but I sounded freaky with a horror movie-ish double voice which could only be heard if i spoke in a low-pitch. How annoying! But it's alright now. I sound normal and my throat doesnt look demented. I'll post a few pictures of the trip soon with more explanation.

To the only 3 or 4 people who read my blog, IM BACK!

Assignments have been completed, exams are over and now I'm basically a free bird. A free BORED AS HELL bird. It's only been a week and a half since summer break started and I'm ready to rip my hair off. Now now, I'm aware that complaining is not the way to go here. But hey, I think I have a fantastic holiday planned ahead:

1. Bugfest in JB next weekend-quality time with the cousins and friends and every other Volkswagen enthusiast.

2. Incredible India for 2 weeks as I mentioned in one of my earlier posts-more time with the other side of the family

3.Beautiful Bali for 4 days-quality time with high school friends. We're thinking of doing more sightseeing this time around, temples and isolated beaches.

The only problem is that the flight to Bali is a day after I get back from India. Talk about jet-setting.

Well, this is actually just a short I-am-back post. I'll follow up with more interesting posts that are worthy of your time soon enough.

The Satellite Dish

Dance has always been a passion of mine and in all these years as, we(the other dancers and I) have grown and we've achieved much more than we started with.

On March 20th, we had a recording for one of Astro's New Year shows, and since we were representing the Malayalee community, we decided to do one of Kerala's many dances.

It was a very sudden arrangement so we only had 2 days to choreograph, learn and practice the dance before going on camera.

We left Malacca at some unearthly hour because we needed to get to the studio before 8. No sleeping in on a Saturday! We chartered a bus since there were 8 dancers and some of the parents who went as assistants, and my mother had some acting role. But the bust driver got lost, so we only reached at 9plus. We were all worried that there wouldn't be enough time to get our make up and costumes done (based on past experience when the producer made us do 3 hours worth of make up in 15 minutes).

Only this time, the director gave us all the time in the world. We were having breakfast till 11. And by 1 we were ready. I guess some of the performers needed more than one take to get the lighting and stuff right. So our recording was only at 4! We should have just left Malacca at 12.

But it was a really good experience nonetheless. They gave us a fantastic dressing room with a nice big couch and tv and a separate make up room with really good lighting. The attached bathroom's were nice too, with built in warm/cold bidets. Hah!

Back to School Blues and Maybe Greens

Classes have started and we have just received a huge blow in the face in the form of tests. Bloody tests. Do they ever end? Not forgetting the much 'loved' assignments. Better than high school anyhow.

However, McDonald's is having some breakfast offer thing. ALL breakfast sets for RM4. Fantastic or what? I love their Sausage McMuffin. There's nothing in the world that could come close to it and my obsession with their coffee/tea cups will never end since it makes me feel all businesswoman-ish for some weird reason. HAHA! Maybe i'll grab myself some of that delicious breakfast tomorrow. Something to look forward to eh?

On a very random note (still food-related) I cooked some tomyam soup yesterday. Been craving for it for sometime and now I'm honestly sick of it. It was heavenly while it lasted. Sour and spicy, just the way I like it. Maybe sometime soon I'll cook more dishes and lifelessly take pictures since I have the proper equipment and all :P

Anyway, it's time for dinner. The hungry stomach beckons.

HEATWAVE!

If I were a block of ice, I would melt in a SECOND. That's how ridiculously warm it is in Malacca. I swear I can almost see a big ball of heat surrounding me. You would think that after weeks of hot weather, it would rain for a bit or at least drizzle. Maybe someone should do the rain dance?

I'm going back to Damansara tomorrow. Classes start on Monday. I'm actually looking forward to it since the holidays have been uneventful and downright boring. But classes also mean exams and Finals are in 2 months. So that's not really good.

But on the bright side, I'll be going to India in June. Time to shop for more clothes and jewellery! And also books. The price of Dan Brown's novels there is only 70 rupees. Thats, about RM7. Cheap or what? You also get the whole Harry Potter/LOTR series for Rs1000 (RM100). How's that for a fantastic bargain?

A few dance performances coming up in July. Finally, something to do. I miss dancing so very much. I miss the exhilarating feeling of being in stage in front of hundreds of people, knowing they are there yet not seeing a single one of them.

Hmm, good times ahead. Time to sit and wait and maybe hit the books sometime in the near future.

FINALLY, after months of pestering my parents, they got me a DSLR camera. My dream :D

It's supposed to be my 21st birthday gift and I'm not allowed to ask for anything else anytime in the near future, which is quite unfortunate because AirAsia is flying to Melbourne for only RM349. Unfair or what?!

Anyway, these are some picture I took with my new toy. Nothing extravagant. But it's the most i could do, since I'm at home and all. Maybe once I finish reading the unbelievably thick manual, the shots might turn out a little better. We'll just wait and see

On a different not, my neighbour's house got robbed in BROAD DAYLIGHT! Happened this morning and I was actually outside playing with my dogs and I didn't hear a thing! Apparently they stole 3 laptops, a brand new N97 and a long gold chain. The whole house was ransacked. Kinda scary since it happened right next door and we didn't hear a thing. Maybe if I didn't have dogs, this could have happened here? :O

Miles or Smiles?

Who hates long distance relationships? Wait, let me rephrase that. Who DOESN'T hate long distance relationships? Its the most annoying thing, really. All that keeps you together is words, words and more words. How much can you do by talking? How do you express all your emotions with words?

Almost everyone I've spoken to has told me that long distance relationships never work. They say it only works for a while before Mr.Distance starts messing things up. I personally think that this is utter bullshit. It does work and it eventually it turns a rocky relationship into a rock hard one, and turns a rock hard relationship into an impenetrable one. So why would it be a bad thing?

The only drawback is the distance of course and the lack of physical contact. But not seeing each other enables you to concentrate more on the psychological part of the relationship. You start talking more and expressing yourself more. All you need to make things work is a telephone and a Skype account. Voila!

Trust. A very important aspect. I've been asked how I can trust a person when there's 8000miles between us. Trust can be an issue but if you think of it, if the other person does cheat on you, then maybe you were never meant to be together? It's probably just an early sign that you're going to find someone much better in the future.

I think distance does make the heart grow fonder, and whatever doesn't break you only makes you stronger. Imagine seeing a person after being away for months? It would be like tasting your first sip of wine after walking umpteen miles in the desert. You savour every moment and every memory is etched onto your mind. How could this possibly be a bad thing?

So come lets mend all those broken hearts with band-aids and enjoy the freedom of being on your own for a while.

Happy Chinese New Year! (i know it's kinda late but it's the thought that counts. hah!)

Since its the year of the tiger and all, I thought of living up to the spirit and posting some pictures of tigers which I took a few months back. I think it's probably one of my best attempts at photography.

Tiger's are such beautiful creatures that you don't even need to have a funky super professional camera to capture a gorgeous picture. They're like photogenic models.

Time for updates!

Its been a while yes. I'm on holiday now. FINALLY. It's been a week and I have not done anything productive.

Well, last weekend I went to Port Dickson to celebrate Dinesh's 22nd birthday. We missed the Langkawi trip planned by his friends so we decided to go somewhere a little nearer. I think it was a short but perfect holiday. So relaxed and a little domestic maybe?

The night before he took me to Tony Roma's for dinner so we had plenty of leftovers which I packed for lunch the next day. We left for PD at 2pm, with lots of bags, a steak bacon something burger and 2 ice creams. We didn't know the way but he said we could use his dad's GPS. But on the highway little miss GPS died and we didn't have a charger. So we spent the next one hour looking for the hotel. Ishh

After checking in, we hit the beach! It was quite clean and there wasn't anyone there. So we walked for a while, took some pictures and headed back for dinner. Oh the seafood we had was so fresh and delicious! It was like heaven on a plate.

Accumulated oil mounds at the end of the beach, thanks to all the ships. Can't people live without polluting the sea?

Anyway, since it was his birthday and all, I decided to surprise him. SOooo, I made a pathway with candles from the room to a table that had more candles and many many chocolate cupcakes (fail Birthday Cake). Aaand, I gave him 6 gifts, for each year that I have known him :)

The Past May Be a Foundation

Why is the past such a difficult thing to forget even if the present is nothing but a box of delicious chocolates?

Does time really heal? Or does it just provide glue to mend all the hurt before it strikes again?

I think bad experiences or unpleasant memories from the past are just like a knee injury for a footballer. It never completely heals and there is never a guarantee that the pain won't come back, but if you watch your step, all that pain can be avoided. But even if shit happens, you can always depend on some deep heat cream to relieve that occasional pain.

It is important to forget the past and move on to experience the better things in life. Dwelling in the past brings nothing but endless waves of depression and mood swings. Life is too short to be spent being unhappy.

You never know what might happen tomorrow after you wake up, or if you will wake up at all. You never know when it would be the last time you see someone or the last time you do something. Imagine being so angry with a person one day and realising the next day that it's a little too late to say sorry.

People say, if there's love in your heart, it takes a lot to get you riled up. I'm sure we all have that, so let's just spread the love and make the world a better place, one that makes us feel like a million dollars. Let the past be the foundation that makes us a better person instead of a bitter one.

A few of us went to a friend's holiday house in Tanarimba Janda Baik yesterday for a party. Its such a beautiful house! and its chilly. Some of them had one too many drinks but it was fun, fun and more fun!

What an eventful day it was. Not in a good way either.

We (brother and I) decided to go back home to Malacca today after my class at 12.30. So we left and took a slow drive since his leg was injured and all. About 40km away from home, the car made a rattling sound, jerked and stopped right there in the middle of the North-South highway, IN THE BLAZING HOT SUN! We tried waiting for about 20 minutes or so before starting the car, but it wouldn't even crank.

We called the AAM people who came after 40 minutes or so. They towed the car while we were in it. I swear it felt as if the car was going to fall off the tow truck at any moment. But we finally reached a workshop in Senawang and my mom picked us up. Good news, we're both alive and kicking and well fed back home.

This is such a pointless post. But hey its my blog and Im entitled to write whatever I like ;)

Fashion

I watched the movie 'Fashion' for the second time yesterday. It's probably one of the best hindi movies I've watched in recent times. The plot was realistic and different from what we usually see.

It's a story that brings to light the darker and unseen shades of the fashion world. Fashion is about the rise and fall of a supermodel and her subsequent resurrection. The film was done beautifully and I have absolutely no negative comments.

The clothes were soooo beautiful. The make up was even better. Everyone looks like a million dollars.

Stop Staring You Uncouth Idiots!

I post this while still burning with rage.

Why are some people so disrespectful towards women? It's like they do not have sisters or mothers or wives or daughters. Sick.

I went swimming with Michelle today and after 2 hours of swimming and talking, we decided to fulfill our cravings for ramly burger. We walked across the street and were waiting for our burgers when this group of men sat at a table right behind us. The looked like our country's stereotypical uneducated Indian men. The ones with blonde highlights and hair so drenched in gel/oil that it reflected light, the biggest possible rhinestone ear studs, boot cut jeans and a thick gold bracelet around their wrists contrasting against skin which again, reflects light.

So anyway, these people were passing their usual comments, the unmistakable 'Hi sister' (yea right if I was your sister I would kill myself, return to life and kill myself again). These things happen and I can brush it off. I mean, its not right, but unfortunately theres nothing much anyone can do about it. BUT, this one particular guy appears out of nowhere and puts his face about an inch away from mine and stares into it and walks of laughing at his friends saying 'yes, pretty' . Seriously, WHAT THE HELL?!! That was Michelle's and my exact reaction.

I guess all these people do it thinking they can get away with it? I dont know. Well, rot in hell all you people. You do not deserve eyes.

I Once Aspired to be a Model

When I was 5 or 6 years old people would ask me 'what do you want to become when you grow up?'

My answer would always be either 'actress' or 'model' or something in show business. At that age, I had high hopes and endless dreams. There were times when I would just detach myself from reality and go into dreamland. A magical land where I was famous and all that glitters really was gold.

At that tender age, all I wanted was to be famous. But it was that ambition that indirectly made me realise my love for performing arts. Here I am about 16 years later, not even close to becoming either an actress or a model. I've become a dancer instead. But hey, a girl can dream right?

Anyway, about a week ago, Jas and I decided that we wanted to take some pictures which could be potential portfolio material. A good friend of ours is into professional photography, so we got him to take a few shots just for heck of it. The first set was just us they we are. Hardly any make up and really simple clothes (white top, blue jeans). The second set was of us in traditional costumes, with more intricate make up. The pictures turned out pretty good I must say.

These are some of the end results :) We took about 270 pictures and these are 7 of them before any editing. Au naturel yes

Probably not close to how professional models would look but no harm trying. We love the way we look

Hello 2010!

2009 - What a year it has been.

Yes i know my New Years/Year End post is a little late and I am ashamed to admit that its due to nothing but pure laziness. But hey im back! I cannot believe that a whole year has passed at the blink of an eye. It feels like the year just started. But as the saying goes, time waits for no one.

I shall use this blog as an opportunity to reflect on everything that has happened in 2009.

I fell in love, I fell out of love and of course, I fell back in love (I'm not just talking about men, mind you---OR women) :P

I started a full time degree and I now wake up with a purpose in life. Its hectic and I can't say I'm loving it. But someone's gotta pay the bills in the future right?

A few very important people in my life left the country to do their own thing.

I got a new dog, my baby Husky who's nothing less than a menace but i love him to bits.

I lost my two and a half year old hamster, Cookie who aspired to be Spiderman.

I got to know someone whom I wish I had never met. It made me realise a lot of things, which could either be good or bad.

But one of the most significant things that happened last year was my trip to the Land Down Under. Not only was it one of the best holidays I've had, it was also a turning point in my relationship. In economic terms, people would call it a recovery or upswing in the cycle :P

I turned 20! Two decades and a teenager no more.

Well I cant remember all the other things. But in short, I believe 2009 has been a good year. After crossing bumpy roads in 2007 and swimming in ice cold seas in 2008, the road is even and the water is warm. For now anyway. I look forward to having another eventful year and blogging about it next year.

Sad thing is, i spent the new year alone. Actually, I was just a bum and refused to get out of the house. It was nice though, being in my fortress of solitude. I started my new year nice and mellow, just the way I want the rest of my year to be................when I'm 70

By the way, I did not make any resolutions. Except one, which is 'I will not make any resolutions' (if that even counts). The reason for this being that it never works for me. If I make resolutions, I know VERY WELL that I'm not gonna keep up to any of them so why even go there? however, if I did get hit on the head someday and decide to make resolutions, these would be some of it (with commentary)

Sleep on time (because I have no worries in life and going to bed at 10 every night is possible)
Exercise everyday (i wish, i wish, i keep wishing, still wishing)
Complete all my assignments at least 1 week before they're due (HAHAHA)
Be more patient (can you see the halo above my head? can you?)
Stop eating fast food (feel free to visit me in the burrow that i will dig when I turn into a rabbit)
Cut down on all the gossip (again, HAHAHA - cut my tongue instead)
...zzzzz (your reaction at some point during this list)

There, my resolutions. They are pathetic and do not make sense because of how little I care about making them in the first place.

Pictures taken of important moments in 2009 will be posted soon. My laptop died on me a few months ago and all the pictures are in CDs. So maybe when I find them.

I hope all of you have a great year and embrace all your troubles as if they're your closest friends. Be good :)

Heaven Is Home

IM BACK HOME! Finally after more than a month. I missed my parents and I missed my dogs.

My baby Brandy is recovering after a minor surgery, Husky is battling some skin problem that doesn't seem to go away and Tintin is as cute as ever. I love them.
Christmas Holidays have been good. It's nice to have my meals on time and not have a single worry in the world. Heaven it is.

Derryck, Siva, Yazna, Hau Loong, Chern Yi and I went out on Saturday. We had dinner at a Chinese Restaurant with a Shangai-ish theme. It was an air conditioned place which also had fans (for decorative purposes i was told). Then we decided to walk around the streets of Malacca and took pictures with Siva's sexy Canon DSLR.

The guys wanted to have drinks but the usual place was closed so we went to another place which only served beer because they didn't have a liquor license and no one wanted to drink beer. So we walked and walked along Jonker Street. It was so difficult to move. HUMAN TRAFFIC i tell you. We finally ended up at a restaurant bar called Geographers. Not too bad, that place. Chern Yi had Baileys, Siva and Yazna had brandy I think, Derryck had Galliano, I had Peppermint Curacao-tasted like toothpaste- and Hau Loong had water :P So cute.

We took quite a number of pictures. Im still waiting for them to be uploaded on Facebook so that I can post them here after stealing. Anyway, it was a good night. I haven't seen all of them in a while. Oh and there were Storm Troopers walking on Jonker Street. No, Im serious. There were real life robots walking down the street. They even came into the bar and sang a song.

I do not like how the land down under conveniently stole the both of them from me. It's difficult being a few thousand miles away. There's only so much Skype and MSN can do to reduce the distance. But they're back now, and I couldn't be happier. I've missed them too much and spent too many waking hours wishing I could turn back time.

The Brave Mosquito

The first semester of my first year is finally over. It hasn't been easy, but it has certainly been an eventful journey from the start. Assignments have been submitted and phase tests have been completed. So now, it is time to break free and enjoy!

Anyway, a few weeks back Michelle and I decided to take May to have authentic Malaysian food. May's from Sudan and we were horrified when we found out that she's never had Malaysian food after being in the country for more than 2 years.

So, during one of our long breaks, we decided to go to Old Town to have Asam Laksa. We ate and we laughed. But guess who we met? This brave little mosquito who budge even after we touched it. I think it had a massive crush on my glass of water since it was there the whole time. Me, being the stalker that I am, took a picture of this oh so brave mosquito (it later died at the hands of a cold blooded murderer - I SHALL NOT MENTION NAMES :P). We named him laksa. HA HA

ACCA, how I miss you. I only had two 3 hour classes per week and that too at night. No homework, no assignments and no presentations. I could wake up at any hour, do anything i like during the day and the only thing i had to worry about was remembering and applying 6 months worth of knowledge during my finals.

After my oh so free ACCA days, doing a bachelors degree in accounting has been a rude awakening. I feel like I've been woken up with a huge bucket of ice cold water. It hasn't been easy. Work has been piling up and my first semester is about to end. 3 assignment submissions, presentations and countless phase tests lay ahead.

Despite the horrendous amount of work, I have to admit that I've been having the time of my life. I'm enjoying every bit of it and I wouldn't have it any other way.

And today, the wait ends. The 3 month wait. 3 months that felt like 3 years. I can safely say that for the NEXT 3 months, I'll be prepared to face anything that's on my path, with nothing less than a smile on my face.

The title makes sense if you've watched Desperate Housewives.

I've been having problems remembering fonts. Im not sure what I used in the previous post.

Anyway, below is a picture of us (May,Michelle and I) during an attempted photoshoot for one of our assignments. We're researching on Apple Inc, hence the apples on our heads - we decided to be literal by using the fruit to symbolize the company. Instead of just holding the apples à la Desperate Housewives, we tried the whole see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil concept. AND we dressed in black and white. Are we creative or what?

May looks sinister as if she would have a lot of evil things to say.

I don't look too happy happy about not being able to hear anything evil.

Michelle looks delighted that she's not able to see any evil.

Diversity, yes. Actually we ARE the most diverse group in class :)

On another note, our work has been PLAGIARIZED by the unmentionables. Hmph!

I Tried Sushi!

Overdue, yes yes.

A few weeks back, i celebrated(well not really) my 20th birthday. I got a call at 12 from my darling Juess and my other darling ;)

Oh and i attempted to drive my brothers Volkswagen-and killed it thanks to my disability to balance the clutch/accelerator. The next day my lovely 'ladies' took me out for a really late lunch at Sushi Zanmai in 1Utama. It was my first time having sushi and i must say, its not all that bad. I always assumed it to be raw fish rolled in rice. But being me, i wasn't brave enough to try anything funky like octopus and eel. But the rice dish and prawn/crab sushi i had was delicious! After that we headed to the fake rainforest to take pictures. It was a beautiful day, so we managed to take beautiful pictures.

Later that night, my brother ordered in Domino's Pizza(his treat). I have newfound love for their double-decker crust with lots and lots of cheese. Oh my god...too good to be true. We had that with cheese and garlic rings and coke. He was soooo nice to me the whole day! I love him and thats not just because he bought me food.

Well, it wasn't an extravagant day but at least I was able to spend it with people I love and that's what matters most right?

Mind Your Language - It's Engrish, Not English

Language. Its probably more important than money. Really, where would we be without it?

There are times when we tend to overlook things and make little mistakes here and there. But there's a thin line between making a minor mistake and totally changing the meaning of a sentence which ends up in utter nonsense or even worse, a whole new sentence that actually makes sense(more often than not, with an unpleasant meaning)

I've seen a signboard in in India that says 'Welcome to this seop'. What in the name of god is a SEOP??? I think its supposed to be 'shop'.

Anyway, here are some of the ridiculous mistakes that people make while constructing the simplest of sentences. Enjoyyy ;)

Jurassic Park

There was this group meeting earlier today, regarding one of our assignments. We were like nomads moving from McDonalds, to a park, back to McDonalds and then to Starbucks. We were there from 4 till 9 :O

So after we completed part of the assignment (involving many 'heated' arguments), we were deciding on where to have dinner, and all of realised that we were craving for chicken from KFC. Soooooo, we came up with the brilliant plan of walking ALL THE WAY to 1Utama from Centrepoint(that was where the nearest KFC was). We walked and walked. Half an hour later, we reached, practically inhaled the food and got ready for the walk back.

We could've taken the same route back but noooooo we thought we should take the other road because it was brighter and less dangerous looking. Oh what a HUGE mistake that was. We were stranded in the middle of some housing area in which all the exits had huge gates which were locked. It felt like Jurassic Park. It was dark, quiet and dogs were not happy to see us.

After an hour of continous walking, we reached Centrepoint and what a huge relief it was. But i have to say, it wasn't all that bad being stuck in a 'cage' with a group of wonderful people :)

Of Kangaroos and Koalas

I visited Melbourne 2 months back. It was such a spontaneous decision. Air Asia fares were too low to resist. Well, it was probably one of the best holidays I've ever had.
The thing about Melbourne is that the infrastructure is almost exactly the same as Malaysia, but its so much cleaner and the people are much nicer.

But I did miss the Malaysian weather after a week. It was TOO COLD. When I left KL, it was 32 degrees celsius and when I landed in Melbourne it was 2 degrees :/
Talk about drastic temperature changes.

Anyway, I was there to visit my 2 favorite people.

And while I was there, I had the privilege to meet other lovely people :) The other wonderful people

While I was there, we visited a few places. One of them was the The Great Ocean Road, one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. We drove for about 12 hours along the ocean and the view was BREATHTAKING. Nothing but clear blue water that goes on and on for miles. We watched the sunset from the edge of some cliffs- The Twelve Apostles. The pictures dont do it any justice.

The next day we went up Mount Dandenong, again, to watch the sunset but it had rained that afternoon so the sky wasn't as colorful as it should have been. But we could see Melbourne City in the distance and other suburbs surrounding it. Again, thanks to the rain, we were all shivering and it was almost impossible to get a picture that was not blur, but we did manage to get some really good shots.

Then came the trip to the zoo. My intelligence is questionable at times- who wears high heeled boots to the ZOO? The lack of common sense had its effects :(
Anyway, the zoo. I managed to see kangaroos for the first time! They weren't hopping as I had expected, but nevermind. While we were at the reptile house, we heard the most disturbingly hilarious conversation between a man and his son (probably 4 or 5 years old). In one of the displays were 2 chameleons mating, and this is how their conversation went.

Son: Daddy, what are they doing?
Man: They're doing a dance.
Son: Can we do one?
Man: Uh..no..

HAHAHA :P Ai and I

The worst part about a holiday is leaving. Its just the most depressing feeling in the world. But i did have the best 2 weeks thanks to both my loves :)

The First

My first proper blog post after countless attempts to start a decent one! I turn 20 tomorrow and since i have all this free time, i thought i should start a blog; something to jot down the happenings and my thoughts so that there's a chance i remember them maybe 20 years from now :)

I have so many thoughts and im constantly thinking so i thought i'd maybe put some of my thoughts and memories here-something like Dumbledore's pensieve (HAHA!). Mind you, its not going to be one of those blogs where all the ranting and whining happens,well not directly anyway.

Im not sure how this whole thing works YET, all the choosing of templates (you cant go wrong with black) and fonts. Someday, SOMEDAY, it might get the hang of it.

I'll fill you in on my many adventures and misadventures in my upcoming posts. For now, there's work that needs to be done and procrastination is my middle name.
